I started Pawsh six months ago because I kept hearing the same story from dog owners: their dog came home from the groomer shaking, hiding, or just… off for the rest of the day. That's not okay. It's not what grooming has to be. I got my Fear-Free Grooming certification because I wanted to have the skills to actually back up that promise — not just be gentle, but be trained in why certain techniques work and how to read what a dog is telling me.

Going mobile was the obvious next step. The waiting room, the kennels, the noise of other dogs — that's a lot to ask of an animal who just wants to feel safe. When I come to you, your dog is already in their element. That changes everything about how the session goes. What does "fear-free certified" actually mean?
Fear-Free certification is a professional credential that trains groomers to recognize and reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in pets during grooming. It means every handling technique, every tool, and every movement is chosen with your dog's emotional state in mind — not just efficiency. A fear-free groom might take longer. That's the point.
Where exactly do you groom my dog?
Sarah comes to your home and grooms your dog on-site. A bathroom, laundry room, or covered outdoor space works great. Your dog never has to leave the street they walk every day. No car ride to an unfamiliar place. No waiting in a kennel.
How do I book an appointment?
Online booking through Acuity Scheduling takes about 60 seconds. Pick your service, pick a time that works, and you're confirmed. You'll get an automated reminder the day before. No phone tag, no back-and-forth.
Do you groom cats too?
Yes — Sarah is experienced with cat grooming, including de-shedding treatments and nail trims. Cat appointments are scheduled separately from dog appointments to minimize everyone's stress levels (including Sarah's).
How long does a full groom take?
Most full-service grooms take 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on size, breed, and how long it's been since the last groom. Because it's one-on-one, your dog gets Sarah's full attention the entire time — no crating between steps.
What if my dog has never been groomed before?
The puppy first groom is made for exactly this. Sarah introduces each tool gradually, uses treats throughout, and keeps the first session short and low-stakes. The goal isn't a perfect haircut — it's a dog who walks away thinking grooming is okay. That foundation matters for every future groom.
What's your cancellation policy?
Life happens — Sarah gets it. Cancellations with 24+ hours notice can be rescheduled at no charge. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) may incur a small fee. Full details are in your booking confirmation.
